I’m not sure how the actual dimensions compare, but the RIM/Nokia nano-SIM looks a lot like a microSD card.

So let me get this straight:
You would rather have a hardly functioning mouse that is “ergonomic” than one that is feature-packed and allows you to use your computer much more efficiently?
Ergonomics are great, but it is not the only factor in buying a product, much like you make it out to be.
Do you also advocate those ergonomic keyboards and suggest that people carry them around and plug them into their laptops because it doesn’t harm their wrists?
I agree that the magic mouse isn’t the most ergonomic design, but until someone else develops an ergonomic mouse that is equal to, or outperforms the magic mouse in features I will not be buying it.

What is he supposed to do, put them in multiple bags? That would just create more of a hassle for him.

fundamentally flawed
Have you used a magic mouse?
I can do more with my magic mouse in fewer gestures than any other mouse on the market. No, it doesn’t fill the palm of the hand, but neither do countless other mice out there (especially the mini ones).
I have used a magic mouse for 5-6 hours a day for the last two years and have had absolutely no problems with it or hand pain.
I can instantly zoom in on webpages and images. I can quickly swipe between desktops and pages in documents. And I can precisely scroll around zoomed in images (something this photographer does a lot.) without a second though.
There is not another mouse on the market that can do any one of these things as well as the magic mouse, yet alone all of them. Trust me, I have used a ton of different mice, but none can compete.

Patent litigation shouldn’t make you hate them.
There are an unbelievable amount of lawsuits filed by all of large tech companies every day. It’s just cool to hate on Apple. They aren’t claiming that clicking a phone number and having options pop up is the next big thing since sliced bread, they are just defending a patent that they legally own. It doesn’t matter how simple you think the functionality is. It is there patent.
You should instead be mad at our current patent system for allowing “trivial” to be patented.
It’s the same thing with the whole Foxconn debacle. Virtually all big tech companies use Foxconn, yet Apple is in the spotlight.

This is for true (and wealthy) camera lovers. While the image quality is superb, the average joe will do just fine with an ole’ $300 Canon/Sony/Nikon point and shoot.

While Apple may be flattered that others started using similar unlock methods to their “slide to unlock,” that doesn’t mean that they aren’t also going to sue for patent infringement.

Oh, come on.
Microsoft and Apple have been stealing from one another since Jobs and Gates met way back when.
Don’t waste your breath.

This was discussed back when Gate Keeper was announced. The fee is minimal (some tens of dollars).
From a consumer standpoint, I think this is great. It’s just another step towards a more secure user experience.
If your apps are truly that small and specific, I would assume that those downloading them are already tech savvy people who would easily be able to fix the setting to allow your app to download.
