It comes down to personal preference. I personally would rather have Starry Night over David. To me that one painting is much more evocative of one man’s vision and depiction then any statue has yet conveyed.
Others argue Mona Lisa, but I never saw the appeal even when viewing it irl. Great painting? Sure. Best? Not to me.
