My wife had an old 2009 Macbook that was due for replacement. I was pushing her for an Air but she can’t stand Apple. Ended up getting her a touchscreen Asus UX31. I’ve got to say that i am really impressed with it so far. It’s light, the build is good, great size, thin, great screen, the trackpad is even good and works well with the integrated windows 8 gestures. Battery life is good and I’ve been surprised how much I’ve enjoyed using the touch screen on the laptop.
