Yeah, what gives with the lack of iTunes podcast support? As a technology centered news organization I would have figured this wouldn’t be an issue.

My first thought when I read the Waterstones news was that this seems like a short-term fix much like when Franklin-Covey sold Palm Pilots all those years ago. No one wanted a paper planner any more and in the process of selling a digital one they cannibalized their long-term sales. Maybe I don’t understand the strategy here but this seems like a way to prop up the company until the customers no longer need to return for what they want. I know I’ve not been back to B&N since I bought a Kindle nearly 2 years ago.

Well, considering how much has changed since the very first look at the OS I’m not very enthusiastic about the new OS. In fact, I’m really hoping that my employer is still offering the option of a Mac when I am up for a laptop upgrade because I really hate what Microsoft has done to the desktop version of Windows with Windows 8.

Based on my time using Google+ it doesn’t offer something that Facebook doesn’t already do and, in some instances, do better than Google+. When I think of all the things I like about Google (Reader, Chrome, search, etc.) these are things that Google does better (in my opinion) than the other available options. I prefer Google+ over Facebook but then again I’m not much of a social web user if it’s not Twitter.

Not that I have an inside track on this but I heard word of the Kindle with a light before I heard about the Nook with a light.

That was one epic WOW binge.

When they’re not in public acting all austere and so forth do you think they’ll look back and say: Hey, Ayatollah, remember that one time you tried to issue a fatwa and our filter accidentally blocked it? That was pretty funny."

Amazing: I think the mobile app is far more attractive than the full desktop site.

Wouldn’t that actually be adding to the logjam of NFC payment services?
