Ultimately, Google has thrown feature after feature into the cauldron of Android and it’s working better – for the moment. Apple whilst previously in the lead have lost momentum in the software space. It must not change its philosophy but must grapple with the speed of development. It has remained in its comfort zone for too long and as users we are beginning to sense a lack of involvement. They have left the app store to blossom in the gardens of eden. The garden remains part of an environment – the joys need to spill over. Let innovators create throughout, not only under the high and admiring gaze of Apple.

Is this an article or a string of non-sequiturs? Or am I eating a sandwich?

1. Mailbox has launched an iPad app…
2. Google has added a couple of features to Gmail in the browser….
3. The Gmail iPhone app ranks higher than Mailbox’s iPhone app…
4. Mailbox didn’t launch an app on Android where the “focus on design and speed would be well-received” (iPad users don’t appreciate design and speed?)…
5. Mailbox is planning to add features…
6. There’s a particular Gmail feature people like that isn’t part of Mailbox and Google could add more features and for some reason this is worrisome to someone…
7. Fortunately what was just explained as a problem isn’t one…

I can’t see anybody other than the usual gamer types buying the Xbox One, so I doubt it’d have any impact on what I would expect to be Apple’s target audience with the Apple TV.

Very roughly, could you explain how the local taxes are calculated? Presumably it’s based on the profit that’s left after Apple’s US HQ and other Irish subsidiary take their cut for the IP rights?

(I would Google it, but your comment just then helped clear things up more for me than several articles I’ve read on the subject)
