Seconding Arthur on this one, though I wouldn’t even say the characters are great. The story in 3 is a mess of silly reversals and historical blather.

I think this sort of tutelage arrangement they make with young studios is brilliant. Like you said, it’s producing some inspired work. Fresh faced game designers come in with big ideas, and experienced vets help them become actual, sellable games. PSN’s 2012 slate might be more interesting to me than PS3’s retail slate.

Yes. The whole series is alarmist. Also, Oliver North is a crook. His dealings in the Iran-Contra affair were despicable and went unpunished. I think including him as a consultant is unsavory, particularly since the game involves the period in which North was such a controversial figure.
