There is voice and text roaming, but no data roaming. I don’t plan many excursions outside of cities though.

Some shit is just standard.

Not selling terribly well. Even at a cheaper price than an iPad, the general public doesn’t care about screen resolution (iPad 2 still sells very well even to this day).

Chart doesn’t mention price difference for good reason, plus the great free games when you buy an AMD card with their Never Settle Reloaded Bundle.
Before someone drops $650 on a GPU, I hope they do their research.

In general, consumers should be worried if a fundamentally better designed product isn’t selling well, because it really means that if the iPhone and Galaxy S phones were to flounder, people would still buy them based on their current position in the market.
Robust competition is the only thing keeping companies from sitting on their hands and selling you a 0.1% improved product every year and calling it new.

Successful? Their growth and profit curve are negative. Within the year, they will be taking quarterly losses. They were successul in the past, they aren’t anymore.
Nokia is losing less and less money each quarter. They’re not perfect, but things are looking up.

Except the PS4 will be using OpenGL. Also, no amount of slick coding is going to make up for the fact that the XBOX One has 1.2 teraflops of power and the PS4 has 1.8 teraflops.

What makes a console a console is the fact that it’s a specific set of hardware which developers make games against. You do not have the same hardware in your PC, thus no games play. And when I say specific, I really do mean specific. Specific CPU, GPU, RAM, I/O, everything.

These things haven’t been game consoles since the PS2 was the de facto best selling DVD player in the US.

You apparently have no idea what a kernel is… it’s the software layer that directly interfaces with the hardware. You really don’t want or need to keep rewriting the same code that will interface with an ethernet jack for each new console (plus, each time you write it, you are liable to make mistakes).
Please do not talk out of your ass. You are way out of your depth here son.

A person who makes a snap decision before actually using either isn’t going to be able to explain a fully informed opinion.
Also, I don’t understand how you can pick a console when neither side has really showed any games. I mean, that is why you buy these things, right?

I consider this kind of integration a stopgap until we have IPTV.Certainly with FiOS there’s absolutely no reason for a separate box to be involved when everything is delivered over their IP network. Same with AT&T U-Verse.

I could have told you that 2 years ago. Sony got burned sticking the PS2 EE and GS chips in the PS3 (they cost too much), and emulating the 360 is out of the question.
