Isn’t this for sharing files quickly between users, and not between your own devices? iCloud isn’t going to help you send a presentation to a colleague for example. Dropbox might, but what if they don’t have an account? I think this is a great idea even if it’s limited to iOS devices, as it’s unintrusive enough – similar to the functionality built into iPhoto but system wide.

I think you’re onto something here. Apple was clearly saying that if you use a Windows PC, you contract more colds and flus.

RIght, it will always be possible to “Price is Right” someone better by undercutting price by a $1 or increasing resolution by a few PPI. The important part is we’ll move as an industry forward to sharper displays and GPUs to push ’em around.

This is assuming the GPU is maxed out trying to scroll the UI, which isn’t necessarily the case. Even A4 equipped iOS devices appeared more smooth than their contemporary or slightly newer Android devices that had better GPUs.

Has it been confirmed yet what exactly Apple is able to do here? Are they simply using a back door to bypass any encryption on the device?

How fast jailbreaks appear? They haven’t been appearing all that quickly lately… Also the article mentions that (some?) of Samsung’s devices were approved, and if they’re running Android I couldn’t imagine iOS 6 failing because a jailbreak might be eventually possible.

Apple could just “buy” into some fabs producing Ax chips with intel’s manufacturing process… Which is rumored to be a possibility (I guess it would take years and billions if true).

Actually when I upgraded a couple of years ago on AT&T there was no longer a choice for the minimum message plan, only unlimited. So I dropped the text plan completely. It actually does save me a few dollars every month- if anyone wants to chat me up that doesn’t have iMessage, I just use Google Voice… Unless they want to send me n00dz, then i have to switch them back to MMS :/

But Airs are consistently rated one of the best “ultrabooks” on the market, it’s not like you can say they’re buying a non-functional piece of crap just to look “cool”. Chrome books really aren’t in the same category in terms of functionality and the comparison with those could of course also be made with any other ultra light non-Apple laptop.

A hell of a lot more phones? Do you expect this Nexus to sell anywhere near close to the mainstream Galaxy S4? Unless there’s some huge reason for carriers to push it, which I doubt…

You can buy 3 Nexus 7’s for $329? Let me know where, because the LCD on mine decided to explode for no good reason I can think of (external case and glass is perfectly intact :)
