Regardless of whether it’s fair use or not these videos act as free advertisements for Nintendo games. Unlike tv/film these videos offer a poor substitute for owning the game. Lets be honest, who enjoys watching their friends play more than playing themselves?
By taking money from the video creators there is less incentive to create Nintendo videos. Less let’s plays = less advertising and fewer games sold.
Why do you think the majority of the games industry allow these videos, they aren’t stupid. Games companies are even paying famous let’s play creators to feature their videos.
