Once an iSheep, always an iSheep. I get asked about my Windows Phone all the time and people think it’s cool and different but they end up with an Android or iPhone because that’s what the sales rep said.
The problem here is that you’re asking them what phone should they get for work purposes. If they don’t take what they are given “Lumia 900” then they can bring their own device which is a growing trend for the IT industry as it is.

Once tiered data plans are in place you will either pay up the ass for the internet or be forced into a bundled service which will hamper innovation in this area period.
The only way cable companies can compete will be to ditch their current business model and pricing model into more of an ala cart of channels and you pay for the amount of channels you subscribe to.

Pretty soon it will be a job just to keep up with all the social sites out there. Till Facebook dies no point to use Google+, there just isn’t a need for me to post the same thing on multiple social sites.

Just got my Samsung Focus S from my insurance company to replace my LG Quantum and I don’t experience any of the issues that you’re discribing.
It’s moving into it’s 2nd year and even though Mango was a huge step forward for WP7 things will finally start getting into gear come Apollo. Over all it’s a phone (more like tricorder) not something to be obsessed over.

The live tiles are awesome and nothing I’ve seen is cartoonish compared to the icon’s on the 4GS and the icons on Androids. Not to mention they give me information on the fly that if I deem important I can dive deeper if needed.

Verizon is in bed with Google and doesn’t want decent Windows Phone devices. The ones they will get after Apollo is released will be total crap as well. I’m glad I left Verizon for ATT when I found out that they wouldn’t get any WP worth a damn.

Because Americans think they can do it better. If we had a transit system remotely as good as Japan’s is we would have a whole different country.

I got a Samsun Focus Flash and it’s a step up from my LG Quantum, thank you insurance plan. It’s a solid piece of hardware but like all products it has a life cycle and like all products when that life cycle comes to an end it’s a dismal journey to just hold off as long as possible.
Sadly all updates to Windows Phones are pushed down through the carriers which is total bullshit. There is no excuse anyone can say that will change how I feel about that. If we purchase the phone it’s our property just like computers and we get updates to Windows directly through Microsoft not who made it and not where we bought it. I want to have the option to update my phone the moment an update is released just like my computer.
However in the end Samsung is not a high quality OEM and it shows. Once my upgrade comes around at the end of the year it will be Apollo on Nokia with a Nokia Windows 8 Tablet.

Nothing to blame Microsoft for when it’s the minimum requirement. Companies can put more than 8GB or RAM in any phone but they chose not to. It’s solely the OEM for not putting more in there.

With every Windows 7 machine being able to run a XP Virtual machine there just isn’t any excuse not to upgrade to Windows 7. You can easily convert that physical disk into a .VHD file and off you go using a Windows XP VM on the desktop. You can also backup that .VHD file so that if something happens to the VM you can easily restore it.
