1. Yes, that would be great. Currently the live tile is just boring when you’re not playing music.

Unknown statistics? You can look up the estimates of total WP and Android devices, the difference is large enough to ignore the exact numbers. The point is there are not enough WP users to affect Google right now.
And I’m not moving any goalposts, my sole argument is that you don’t make sense (or just trolling as I thought at first).
Why would MS fans who don’t own a windows phone device get riled up because of this case? You even provided a link with examples of angry fans and they are WP users. It was reasonable enough to assume that you were talking about MS’s WP fans.

Try using clear arguments instead of derailing your point by silly analogies. Also, what you’re saying doesn’t make much sense. So, what if MS riled up some of their WP fans? They still don’t have enough users to make difference and a lot of WP users rely on MS’s services anyway. So, even if after this “campaign” some part of MS’s userbase stopped using google’s services it would make almost no difference.

Right, I forgot that MS has a service similar to Youtube… Oh wait, they don’t.

Yeah, if you ignore the fact that it isn’t.

This bullshit again. How many of those unheard manufacturers have the same expenditure as Nokia (billions in research and development)? How many of those are going through restructuring? They might make some money, but they also spend a lot less.
Also, how do you expect Nokia to sell enough phones competing against so many other Android manufacturers?
PS Where did I say that Nokia is supposed to be weaker than LG in terms of their phones?

They made these phone for mobile operators that didn’t have Lumia 920 because of its exclusivity. Do you REALLY not understand why they made them?
Comment
It was called 925 for a reason.
5 days ago on Ladies and Gentleman, you have all been trolled. 925 times as hard as usual.

This is one of those criticisms that make no sense whatsoever. When Nokia announced Lumia 920 one month before its release, the comments were flooded by certain people saying that one month is too long and no one is going to wait. However, now suddenly even half a year is actually closer to five minutes (according to one of the resident trolls below).

It does indeed.

Who is to say that Nokia would start making money just by switching to Android? Especially considering the fact that Samsung is the only Android manufacturer who isn’t struggling right now?

Instagraph and Itsdagram. Look up these two apps, they have all the necessary functions if you want to use Instagram.

Right, obviously that’s the ultimate goal for MS… to rile up some fans. Try to be a little bit more subtle with your trolling.

Some poster here seem to be self-proclaimed ad experts and they completely ignore the fact that those ads actually gather a lot of views and attention.

It’s supposed to be cheaper than L920 and it’s a minor bump in the L920 line. Why would there be significant spec changes?

It’s a bit slow to load, but other than that it works well, I think.

If Lumia 920’s “chunkiness” explains its sales, how do you explain the thinner 8X’s non-existent sales? Seriously, your trolling is pathetic.

It does work, you just need to tap the clear button.

Well, the ad isn’t focusing solely on the OSes.
As for FB messaging, I didn’t realise that I haven’t tried to use the features you mentioned, so that’s why I haven’t encountered any issues.
Comment
No, people know that there are Apple/iPhone/iOS fanboys and Samsung/Android fanboys. The whole rivalry between phone owners and between the companies is well known. The ad showed these two groups of fanboys. You have to be in denial if you think no one is aware of the rivalry.

The fact that OS fanboys exist is no secret. And most fanboys are aggressive.

What exactly makes facebook integration a joke? I’m curious because I use it every other day and I haven’t encountered any issues so far.
Also, Nokia Here has great maps, downloading a map for a whole country for offline usage is really useful.

I’m relatively new to the ecosystem as well, so far I’m using these:
Fantasia Painter – for drawing, photo edits and effects. It has loads of useful tools.
Lomogram – for photo effects.
Facebook – I’m not an active user, so I’m not sure if it’s enough for you.
Skype – Some people complain about bugs, but I haven’t experienced any. It constantly runs in the background and it seems that it uses the battery efficiently.
Gismeteo – for weather forecast, you can pin your city to the start screen and it has a nice live tile.
Accurate Tuner Free – for tuning a guitar/ukulele/etc.
ScrobbleMe – for scrobbling your song plays to last.fm
also various little apps like Flashlight XT.

You suggested to buy an android, which could be a non-nexus device, which means that it will likely not get any updates.
Google services integration is a strong point only if you’re invested in them. MS has equivalent quality services (with the exception of Youtube)..
