As with you my first reaction was of disgust. As someone who had been saving up just for this, I was heartbroken too. But good sense prevailed.
Everything on the Galaxy S III is a step up. The only thing that absolutely disgusts me now is the pentile screen and non availability of a black version. And both of these are a step down from the Galaxy SII.
On the other hand, I look at the HTC One X and is immediately clear it’s an inferior device in performance It wins for looks and the screen. But even then the only annoyingly bad thing about the One X is the lack of expandable memory. And so we come to the conclusion that none of these rocks the boat the way we want it to.
