Author should note that Mac OS had the Aero concept prior to vista (albeit much more subtle).10.4 had introduced the quartz graphics rendering allowing for transparencies etc a full year prior to the release of Vista.
If you’re going to be OCD and write 78 articles in 24 hours about the just design of iOS 7 (and not a single one on other features that moved the OS forward) then at least get your history correct.
