My car stereo is on AUX connected to my phone 95% of the time. My phone acts as navigation, entertainment, traffic alert system, and (with Torque) a diagnostic system for my car. I’d much rather have an extension of my phone than a whole separate system to manage. This is where I think something like Miracast could be useful, in addition to some more driver-friendly controls than poking at a tiny screen.
Put the bag over some other seat, remember the number of the row for a few hours, done. Or let them check it at the gate. Bam, 15 more minutes of freedom.
