I’m fine with 1366×768 on a 13.3 inch screen for the price they are asking for. I’d love to see them squeeze in a touch screen and decent battery for sub 600 dollar price

Also here is a link where people are talking about the touch response for the Lumia 900 (compared to your Focus) and how the update was supposed to make it just as fast… Implying that it was slightly laggy before the update.

All I know is that I did the update and the lag was still there…

And the difference between you and me is that I can actually back up what I’m saying.
Here are shots of a few phones I’ve had -
Samsung Focus

Lumia 900 (Next to my iPhone 4S)

If you look at the exif information for the first 2 shots, you will see they were taken with an LG Optimus 7.
Rest of the phones I never photographed.
Say what you will but I like WP quite a bit. However I am able to criticize it as well, especially since I get to play with all platforms and know how it stacks up against the competition.
You on the other hand see blindly devoted for windows phone which really hurts your credibility.

It’s a cheaper low end phone that really isn’t designed to win any design awards. If they can bring it out at 249 off contract or even less, this is a great buy despite the “non inspiring” design.
WP7 is a solid OS and 4 inch screen is a good size for most people. The additional features of front facing camera and LTE are sweet as well.

I agree but in this case the only thing a reputable seller would bring to the table is an avenue to return the phone. It was a brand new and unopened device.
I’ve used all 3 of those devices and I’d argue that Titan had a better speaker and Focus had better sound quality but in terms of hardware as a whole package I do agree the lumia 900 is better. Then there is the design too which blows pretty much everything else away.
To be honest, I’m a little surprised at lack of awareness about Lumia 900 issue that people are having around here.
Even after the update people have various issues with the phone –

Most likely it the device, but there were a lot of reported issues with the Lumia 900, some of which like purple screen are still being looked in to. It just seems the Lumia 900 specifically was designed on a Friday afternoon.
Luckily this is my 8th WP device and I know it’s not the OS. I actually posted my opinions and pros/cons for each windows phone device I’ve had on XDA forums.

1. Internet sharing wont work without LTE. It enables and I get an IP with a connected device but no pages load. I don’t have LTE where I live so I am kinda screwed till Rogers fixes this.
2. Every once in a while SMS messages come in without notifications. I have to open my messages folder every 15 minutes because I have this in the back of my mind.
3. Phone in general runs slower than any WP device I’ve had before. Even after the update. I’ve had 6 WP devices and Lumias scrolling and app switching behaviour in general is not what I have seen on any device before.
4. Camera is fairly terrible. Not sharp at all and night time images are a wash. Focus actually takes better pictures overall and is a year and a half older than the Lumia 900.
I’d return the phone, but since they were hard to find at first, I bought it BNIB from a private seller. Whatever, I’ll ride this out till this fall when WP8, Iphone and BBerry should have new devices for me to play with…

After switching from the Focus and using the Lumia 900 for few weeks now, I would rather use this than the Lumia. Hell I’d rather use my old Focus. Lumia 900 has been nothing bug buggy, even after the update…

Maybe. Samsung just rubbed us all the wrong way. This whole conference/announcement was very Apple like… Massive build up, little payoff…

I don’t see why not if you’re carrying a 10 lbs laptop monster so you could game on a 17-18 inch screen?
LG HW300T projector is 1.7 lbs, fits in hand and does 720p at 300 lumens. Perfectly fine for 40 inch screen on a white wall in a lit room and even larger if the room is dark.

I find this design quite ugly as well… Plastic, pentile… Why would the bother to call a conference for this? This belongs on an MWC floor next to the LG devices lol.

From what I can tell he is saying I shouldn’t use up the internetz for personal opinions different from his…so I don’t know what people are arguing anymore.
And here I am thinking my personal opinion on this matter made total sense for majority of the public. All I know is that one of the laptops I own is an Acer AS3830TG… 13.3 inch screen, i5, Gt540m, 8 hour battery, 4lbs…runs Battlefield 3 just fine at its native resolution and reasonable settings. Cost me 700 bucks all in…
With the money left over compared to something like this, you could get a 720p 500 lumen LED projector and game on a 40 inch screen at a LAN party.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’d rather change the game settings to medium and put resolution to 1366×768 and save 1000 dollars/5 lbs of weight.
