Yes, but YouTube does have an app for iOS, so it’s not like Google is withholding YouTube from everyone but Android users. They only withhold YouTube from a small user base on WP. And not even that, since the mobile site still works.

continuing practices
Returning to something that happend in 1993 and was settled in 1994 is not “continuing practices.” It’s tiresome. It’s 20 years ago. Time to get over it.

MS could argue that Google is using their YouTube monopoly to hurt sales of WP. I don’t think it would hold though.

So you change the argument in the middle of it. Ok.
All the video content is on YouTube, not on Vimeo. Just like all the apps were on Windows and not on Macs or Linux.

No they weren’t pivotal in the 2004 case. Read my link below. The word ‘Novell’ isn’t even in it.

It’s not about forcing OEMs to pay for Windows on non-Windows systems. It’s about being a monopoly.

That was in 1993, they settled in it in 1994. The EU charges were in 2004.

You need to look up the actual charges. It really was about being a monopoly, having 90% market share for over 10 years on x86 systems.

Indeed. The potential of the ipad was already proven by the number of people using their smart phone on the couch. An iphone with a bigger screen was pretty much a guaranteed success, except for the initial somewhat high price. And they fixed that later on and Android finished it.

My bet: 10% of smartphone users will have a smart watch, 1% will have smart glasses. That’s still a pretty big market though.

When the iPhone was being designed (around 2005), Intel still had their own ARM chips called XScale. Maybe they would have used those instead of x86.
