It’s OK that you want to stick with the old system, but for many people it is backwards and tedious to insert discs and to take up shelf space with boxes for digital data that can easily fit on the hard drive. It’s a massive shame that I can’t share my game library with my friends now (unless I physically give them my copy, which I then don’t have access to until it’s returned). Lame.
Exactly. It’s secret precisely because once a “bad guy” knows his/her phone is tapped, no communication will pass that way that will leader to their capture/arrest.
So even though the US government has concerns, none of you think there are ANY issues with foreign companies owning telecommunications companies in the US? Ergen is certainly going a bit over the top, but no one here is even acknowledging the possibility that there can be real concerns with this?
The companies are not blameless, but why exactly did the reporter need to DOWNLOAD sensitive data in such large amounts? As stated above, the extent of the problem was pretty clear. IMO the reporter did not act properly at all here.
It’s not the whistle-blowing, it’s the DOWNLOADING of sensitive information that is highly questionable here.
Kind of a misleading headline too. Reading “… privacy breach with Google”, I bet many readers think that there is a privacy breach with Google. I did initially.
