Because it’s unusual, that doesn’t make it right. If you want businesses to come to your town or state, then make the environment friendly to business. Ad hoc deals for every business the government thinks will succeed is crony capitalism and is wrong.

This is highly disappointing coming from a man like Curt Schilling who at one point I had respect for. The game that the studio was released was great and I played over 100 hours in it, including the two DLC packs, which were also excellent. I hope nobody shames the actual employees of the studio who worked to make an excellent game and generated tons of great additional content.
However, Schilling and the Rhode Island state government should both be ashamed of themselves for what has happened here. A shameful display of government attempting to pick winners and losers and shockingly it has gone bad for them.

Man, I hate to tell you this, but the story in Diablo is not good. It’s a shoddy device used to set up neat encounters with giant demons. If Diablo was a single-player only campaign driven game, it would have been forgotten very quickly. Putting any more focus into that would have been a mistake.
I get that you don’t like to socialize with others, and that’s fine. But maybe this isn’t the game for you since the reason the game got so big was it’s robust multiplayer options and long-lasting multiplayer community.

What do you mean offline was the only way to play Diablo? I played quite a bit of Diablo online multi. Actually, all of it. Are people just remembering what they want to remember?

I mean I know I hear people saying it over and over again… but… people really play Diablo games single player offline? I mean, what’s the point? At least the complaining for a game like StarCraft 2 makes sense, because that contains a single player campaign in it. But playing Diablo offline is basically just like throwing away hours of progression for nothing. I always wondered why the single player offline even existed to be honest with you.

The series is not only not “dying”, it’s flourishing and is still easily the highest selling game on a yearly basis.
