Wait, did you just compare X10 with HTC One? From wikipedia:
The Xperia X10 was first revealed on November 3, 2009

Sounds like battery calibration issues.
Does this happen right after a firmware update or when you have flashed a rom?

Probably 50% of all top games on iOS and Android are with unity. It is fun, it is free (unless you earn some serious $$$):
They have tons of tutorials and you can start with minimal programming knowledge.
……
Disclaimer: a couple of my friends work at unity. They may or may not buy me beer next time we get together because of this message… Being cheap bastards they probably wont :(

limited functionality?? what, too few fart apps?

Slightly off-topic, but here is a word of advice from a developer:
There are some great audio apps on the market that need to be updated according to googles latest low latency audio guidelines. If you find an audio app with issues, don’t just uninstall it and give it a 1-start review. Write a short email to the developer and explain your issues. Interaction with users is a great motivator for developers and will solve far more problems than a 1-start rating and an angry comment.

I second that!
At Google I/O this year, android engineers demonstrated extremely low audio latencies on 4.2 nexus devices (N4, N7 and N10). It is certainly doable, however a quick and dirty port from iOS will not work. Many iOS developers are not interested in investing the time a real port requires.

How would you know? Are you an android developer?
Since 4.2, Nexus 4/7 can achieve less than 2ms audio latency. Did you knew apps are already taking advantage of this? See for yourself:
