I found it rather surprising that those major companies that have DCs in New York were not ready for the outages. They should have had a hot site in another state and should have already switched over to them before the storms.
Having redundant servers in physically far away locations is critical for business continuity.
I would call it varmint eradication not hunting, but to each his own. Wild hogs are a serious problem that is only going to get worse and killing them is the best way to get rid of them.
