Fair. But brutal.

I think this about the beta of the new photoshop (6). There are so many icons within the interface that the learn curve for a first time user is literally enormous. Now I realise that Photoshop is intended on the whole to be a ‘Pro’ level application but I think that crafting an interface that slows down workflow by obfuscating basic controls beneath a confusing array of honestly very similar looking icons is not in any way a ‘Pro’ decision. Good design is great, confusing design is not.

This episode looks absurdly good.
