As an Oklahoman, I can’t help but feel ripped off by our state. Gas Prices:
My biggest gripe is the loss of 93 octane back in 2005. I don’t know of any places in Tulsa that carry anything higher than 91 octane. If you prefer 93oct b/c of high compression your out of luck.
Also, in Tulsa one privately owned corporation, runs 90% of the Gas Stations = Quick Trip. I know it’s not illegal, but come on, a QT in every corner, and nothing else? Tornado Season:
You rarely meet people in the state that are terrified by tornadoes. Yes you need to be careful, but its not Armageddon. This time of the year tornadoes hit all over, most are small, but every once in a while you get hit with a big one. Keeping that in mind, the problem after a tornado hits are the lookie-loo’s running to see what happened and to take pictures. Very few people are running scared and creating an artificially high demand for gas. After a storm, everything goes back to normal.
