Paul Miller lives in NY. He used to have a skateboard, but he lost it, so now he rides his bike around the city, calling out: "Skateboard! Where aaaaare you?" His private passion is robotics. He's been a professional writer since 2005; but still doesn't know how to use a semicolon.

How is as far as comfort across bumpy roades? Looks like it has larger tires, guess that would help. I’m just a little wary of aluminum after my current bike.
(very pretty btw!)

Yeah, pretty much. I’ve never had a bike stolen that didn’t deserve it, though.

Yeah, my prob was I got a bike that I liked but we determined it was “too small” so ordered the larger one and just rode off with it. Larger one was too big, or just dumb, or something.

That’s a good idea.

Good advice. I had a velcro’d on rear fender, but I think I should go serious dual fender like that Felt York. Man, that is SUCH a hot bike. Don’t know how I feel about that dual gear thing. Can you ride backwards like that? Or is it not really a fixie?

I hear the LBS advice, I’ve just had bad experiences with both of my NY LBSs. Guess should find another!
Seems like NYC Velo, which is down the street from me, has a lot of the brands you guys are recommending.

Steamroller looks awesome! Really interested in those handlebars, wish they had more photos.

Ugh all I’ve done so far is look at really cheap Chinese carbon frames and tried to convince myself they match my requirements in any way.

Are these any good? http://6kubikes.com/fixie/ I met these guys at the bike expo in ny. Don’t really know how to verify quality. Gonna start looking reviews, I guess.

I was home schooled, and therefore didn’t have enough credits to graduate high school, and therefore didn’t really figure out how to apply to college. I love writing, and I do try to get better, but I feel like there’s SO much I don’t know which more education could help with.

Nice. Except I did those two text messages and loaded a web page at the library. So… maybe if I spend an extra day offline I can still get the cheevo?

Oh man I loved it there. Big ups to Stephen or Jordan who took that pic. Pretty sure it was Stephen.
When you look up at the sky, from under the arch, you feel like you’re being beckoned to space. I almost went, but I wanted to come back so I could use Twitter.
It was a crescent moon. So beautiful.
