I like this. I find myself looking at what people are saying about what I’m searching about. It works.

This one does not float my boat as much as the ideapad u300 that they released a few months ago. The book design in the u300 is out of this world good looking. This just looks like a business notebook.

I don’t know if I would call it sloppy. Multitasking on the desktop is better than with metro. Plus file management is better on the desktop. I guess I disagree with the notion to leave out anything that doesn’t work with metro. Sure it makes for a more pure experience, but also a less useful one. I’m fine with desktop being around until a better more metro version is created.

I have to agree with the rip off vibe here. HP is not a blaze a new trail kind of company. They go with what works, and MacBook design is what works right now. I do give credit to Lenovo for their book design ultrabooks. Those are so nice looking. I do think there is still room to come up with something unique in this space, like Lenovo did, but saying they aren’t taking cues from Apple is just not true.

I think with windows 8 the multi select will be solved with the swipe down to select multiple things. Also, windows 8 does the volume cut when you plug in headphones. So if WP8 is really just windows 8, then those two things should be solved.

I know what you mean about android. I’m using a touchpad with ICS, and while it’s functional, there is just something about it that seems…uninspired maybe? I just can’t put my finger on it. I get know thrill from using it like I did with webOS, windows phone, and iOS. Functional is the best I can say about it.

I use ICS everyday, and nice would be as far as I would go. Functional is the word that best describes android. I can see it going some where because of the webOS designer going over to them, but it’s not there yet.
