You’re contradicting yourself. First you say that this form is following the function. Then you say with Apple function follows form (“the opposite for Apple”). Since Apple came out with this form first then their form follows function.

Unfortuantly HP’s form follows Apple because if you think a wedge is the only design for an ultrabook then you lack creativity. Sony has had uniquely designed thin laptops for years.
