Say people who conveniently forget that game center is a pretty direct clone of Xbox Live

Plus the media companies are much more Leary of apple. If it were really the case that apple gets what they want they would have launched iRadio and would be on the big Chinese cell carriers.

A couple of problems with this. First, the tv would be expensive, way more than people are willing to pay. As such, it would remain a niche product. Tvs are a commodity.
second, much of apples business model is based on regular upgrades. Apple expect people to buy a new phone, if not every year, at least every 2 years. People are not going to replace an expensive TV that frequently.
lastly, the cable providers are not going to let apple bypass to cable box.

But but but, Steve Jobs claimed the iPad was perfect and magical, and that you did not need no stinkin keyboard or stylus. ALL you needed was your fingers.
Apple fans are so funny. Features and accessories, when not for iOS are pointless, and unnecessary (e.g., the whole multitasking issue). However as soon as it comes to iOS, it is the greatest most important thing, and of course, Apple invented it.

Apple fans are so funny. Something is pointless or bad (e.g. Multitasking) until they get it and then it is the most wonderful thing, that of course Apple invented.

Not going to happen. One of the unfortunate side effects of the mobile movement is the appification of the internet and the rise of the ecosystem. If the system is open and cross platform you can’t lock someone in.

Yes, I agree. You will probably access the Windows Store from the console.

It will be $499

But you have to remember that Apple invented gaming, the phone, the TV, music, apps. They invented EVERYTHING, so everything they do must be perfect.

People are amazing, and apparently don’t think about what they are getting for the price.
It will probably cost $499. You get the Xbox, a Blu-Ray Player, 500 GB hard drive, and the Kinect. $499 is a pretty fair price for all that you get.

are you enjoying Google streaming on your iPhone?
Xbox music is in the same state – the app is coming.
Personally I would not be too surprised to see them released at Build in June.

sorry, you can’t use the website argument, simply because WP is flogged for not having native apps. Websites, at least to the tech press, are NOT viable alternatives.

No, not really. Besides they had the whole kerfuffle where they were factually incorrect on a couple of important issues regarding Zune music.

yes they do, this is how they inflate their Google+ numbers. If you sign up for Gmail, you are automatically enrolled in Google+, even if you don’t want to, and even if you never use it.

How are they missing a mobile component? It plays on WPs and Tablets. They have said that clients for iOS and Android are coming.
You may argue that WP market share is not large, but the mobile component is not missing.
You cannot, in an unbiased manner, believe that Google will release an iOS client, and disbelieve MS will.

no no no, we can’t let things like facts, and intellectual consistency have an influence on things. Where in the world would we be if we did.
