It is also screwing the customer because you must get a data plan of some kind. You are not allowed to have a smartphone without it.
I have a hard time taking the side of Verizon or AT&T whining about data hogs when they require us to have data.
I would like the choice of trying just wifi only solutions but not if I have to pay for the data anyway.
