This would be so cool if the implemented the chrome tab switcher for the systemwide task switcher.

By the way all phones slow down….it is not just an Android problem. I know friends with the 4S who complain here or there about stuttering. A phone is a computer and just like a computer the constant deleting and adding of data to the drive eventually slows everything down.

I have a Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus also. I do see the issues people complain about in the Nexus 7, but it is not really that major for me. My Galaxy Nexus actually runs pretty fast, for the most part.
I think the real problem is that developers are optimizing apps not to the Mid Range Reference Nexus phones but to the high end super specked out flagship phones. Which may cause some issues on the lower range devices.

Yeah it happened to me. It had something to do with All Access as I had to suscribe again, don’t know why. Didn’t bother me as I got another 30 days free and my songs just came right back after about 2 minutes.

There was a mod floating around last year that gave users the Windows Phone style app switcher. Just serach the XDA forums. Here is one I found real fast for the Nexus S http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552323

Is it really considered copying when the UI designer of WebOS now works for Android? Did he just copy himself?

Google may have android…but Apple has Jony Ive.
Really? Quotes like this make me giggle. First your talking like you know 100% that this fingerprint sensor, and all the other things you brought up is going to be on the 5S. The truth is a phone is a preference, and all phones will compromise one thing or another…the issue is whether you care about those compromises.

Good question. I think Samsung may move toward a more Googleish look. I think their icons would be flat be look more along the lines of a Tersus icon pack.
The one thing about the look of iOS 7 is that it skews too much towards the feminine side with all the pastels.

I agree with this post, whole heatedly with this post. I think many developers say iOS is easier to develop for because that is what they started on and just find Android more difficult…because it is different. It is like saying the English language is easier than Spanish, but you grew up in the US. Where the rest of the world feels it is the stark opposite.

That’s fair. Not everyone has a huge budget to simultaneously develop apps on both platforms. People have to start somewhere. I think my issue, and this has nothing do with you, is with people like Marco Arment…who choose not to develop for Android for reasons that have no basis and just scream…well…fanboyism
Right now the US market is getting saturated and the opportunities are in the more lesser developed countries, which for the most part skew very much towards the Android side in usage. I think developers who truly understand the aspects of the “App Economy” are the ones making the cash.

The new Mac Pro is basically Google’s Chromebook Pixel. Expensive hardware that caters to a very small portion of the market.

It is actually shown that developers who develop for multiple platforms are the ones making money. As far as the post goes, I really see nothing here but an iOS developer defending their stance on why they won’t develop for Android…which…IMO…is kind of closed minded.

I’m pretty sure they will, but it will take time. This was a data/technology buy. Google will strip out the crowd sourcing technology in Waze and add it to Google Maps with some sort of Google+ Integration.
So….here is my estimated timeline of events
1. Google Just supplements its traffic data with Waze data for about – 6 months
2. Google introduces new Maps app tied into Google Plus allowing users to report traffic – 12 Months
3. Google EOLs Waze and integrates Waze team into Maps and Google Plus – 18 Months

Matias truly has nothing to worry about. iOS 7 shows you that just because you are a great hardware designer, doesn’t mean it translates that well to software. iOS 7 is a nice refresh for an OS that had kinda of gotten..well…boring, but it didn’t do anything great..and in some aspects it is inconsistent. The big thing I would like to see is how the mix of old iOS icons with the new flat icons will look.

-Video & Voice-only Face-time – This is basically Google Chat/Hangouts
- Cross-platform functionality? Not really
- Android still doesn’t sync as well as iOS does – Explain as iCloud is nothing to be proud of.
- cross-platform iCloud functionality (game saves, off/online synced docs, settings, etc.). Ummm I think you need to go watch the Google I/O keynote again.
- Find my iPhone & Activation Lock…ok, but 3rd party solutions work just fine.
- Smart Photo Collections – Nothing new same as Google Photos with a different name.
