Rooting needs to be made much more easier and maybe google should themselves make a software utility to help enforce this. As for now it really is a mess when compared to jail breaking which is much simpler. But now google seems to be making these editions maybe they could release something to make your already purchased phone a google edition phone. I really hope they do.
