I think you are going a bit far when you say (" take your pick: FCC or devices that have too much interference to work effectively and properly") i don’t think that is what would happen if there was no FCC. It does seem to me though that the FCC just wants kick backs for these new companies that are trying to build out new and possibly improved networks. It seems to me that the FCC is doing everything it can to prevent anyone else from entering the mobile network space.
