Man, please tell me it’s just these photos that make the display look like a washed out LCD!? It would be typical Samsung to cheap out given the chance! Presuming it’s not though, I must admit I’d love a stock device with 1080p SAMOLED display… it’s just that sadly I can’t justify the expense to upgrade from my N4.

Agreed, and thankfully bands have already started doing this. When I saw the Raconteurs live I had already pre-ordered a live CD to collect right after the concert finished. Sure I had to wait around about 10 minutes whilst they burnt the CD’s but it was a great (and high quality) memento of the concert. Certainly it would make sense to have other packages with tour t-shirts, programme, poster etc available. I too use Spotify and now only purchase physical music for stuff I really like or limited edition stuff, and this certainly fits into this category. Adding a live DVD as an option might hopefully make some people less inclined to hold up there phone above their heads for half the concert (usually the best bits too!)!

Surely he must have been able to see Gangnam Style without the internet? I mean, he’s not been without TV too has he?? :O

Yeah I gather Samsung’s software implementation is superior to that featured on the One (IE: input source changing works fine on the GS4!), so hopefully that will be something HTC will fix in a future OTA update!

The interesting thing to me about this new must have feature, is that LG, HTC, and Samsung have all featured this technology in their latest flagship phones, which due to the development cycle length of phones, shows how aware these companies are of their rivals and what components they’re developing & using for future devices. I’m not outright accusing them of spying, but it’s interesting to know the info they must be aware of long before the general public is. Will the next iPhone feature IR I wonder…
