Hmm I did write a 900 character reply in my initial comment but it only posted the first sentence. Way to go Verge Android app.
Anyway in the last part of it I made the point that a consoles strength is in its exclusive titles. It’s all well and good building a PC that destroys consoles in terms of performance but I still own a PS3 because I want to play games like Heavy Rain, God of War, Gran Turismo, Journey, Little Big Planet, Uncharted, and so on and so forth.
PC games may well be cheaper but you will still miss out on great titles like those, and it’s not like (as others have said) you can’t get console games at the same price if you wait long enough.
You don’t get into PC gaming because it’s cheaper, because it’s just not. It’s far more expensive and has a far more aggressive upgrade cycle. Consoles performance improve year on year as developers get to grips with the hardware and make the most use out of it. PC is the exact opposite were year on year your performance will get worse as devs try to push hardware released on a yearly cycle to it’s limits. And your CPU and GPU will age very quickly.
Over a consoles life cycle of about 6 to 7 years you will have to do a rebuild of your PC at least once during that time to keep up with the relentless pace PC gaming races ahead at. So my first point still stands. You shouldn’t use price as a justification to not buy a console, it doesn’t make any sense.

You can’t really use price as a justification to switch exclusively to PC. To build a good machine that will last at least a 3 year upgrade cycle will cost well into $1000 (

How is 4mp not enough? That’s 2240×1680. Unless you’re planning on printing out your photos (and holy hell why would you do that? Get a real camera.) I can’t think of a single scenario where it’d matter.
The size of a photo doesn’t make it any less editable.
