Don’t forget the Nook HD’s UI. It’s beautiful and elegant. The Kindle Fire’s UI is ugly and riddled with “helpful” advertisements.

Ok, after announcing that the Nook HDs would have a Google Play, I decided to buy Nook HD. However, I was going to wait until the fall to see what new hardware B&N was going to release. At $149 I’ll just buy one now and maybe buy the next gen in the fall and give my daughter this generation Nook HD.
