Yes it is awesome. And stability has gotten better over time — It used to be the case that it was more stable on Windows. Not sure if this is true anymore.

I like Sketchbook Pro, but I find that it has more friction than Paper — by “friction” I mean there is more room for configuration and thought about how you will use the tools. This is a good thing if you are working on something large, but when I need back-of-the-envelope style sketches and drawings I go for Paper. The fact that the default colour palette is nice, undo is muscle-memory, and the drawing tools immediately have a nice feel without any user setup is the attraction.

Yes, that’s correct. I was simply responding to the statement that Sony was expecting you to “run around a city sharing games.”

They expect us to run around a city sharing games or even worse mailing the disc to someone else.
What? They just don’t place artificial limits on disc based sharing. Just as it is with current consoles. They aren’t expecting you to “run around a city”. They just aren’t limiting your choices regarding what you do with your discs.

I love Procreate, but I still use Paper more.
Procreate is brilliant and great for creating beautiful images that you want to keep.
Paper is a frictionless app that actually replaces a piece of paper. I often work through an idea (an algorithm, a design, or something else) by drawing it out in Paper. The fact that Paper has default tools and colour choices that make your sketches aesthetically pleasing is a really nice plus. The fact that you don’t have to make those choices is an even bigger plus.
Procreate takes longer to start up, longer to configure a brush, longer to choose the right colour, and too long to start working for a quick sketch. These aren’t negatives — Procreate simply has orthogonal goals to Paper. Procreate is an amazing app for dedicated painting of complex images.
I would actually prefer it if Paper didn’t even save my work — just give me a blank piece of “paper” each time I open the app. That’s all I want from it anyway.

Plug it into the laptop to charge while using it as a hotspot. I’m sure the MBA can handle the extra battery drain.

“Newness” shouldn’t be a factor when deciding design quality. It’s irrelevant.
Agreed on the display though. Display is a bit lacking on the MBAs.

Does Windows under Parallels draw more or less battery than Windows under Bootcamp on a Macbook? Anyone know?
Comment
New hardware sometimes comes with a special build of OS X. For example, the first 15" Retina Macbook Pros shipped with a special build of 10.7 that enabled the @2x resolution scaling.
The new MBAs could include some of the efficiency improvements from Mavericks under the guise of a hardware-specific 10.8 build.
You could probably verify this by checking the CPU draw of Safari while it’s drawing processor / GPU intensive CSS animations and then covering the window with another (like the demo from WWDC). See if the CPU usage drops and compare the drop to a previous generation MBA.

The 11" has a lower battery life — Apple claims 9 hours. Due to the fact it doesn’t have the same amount of internal space in which to cram the battery.

Modo, Lightwave and Maya. Modo crashes like crazy. (Maya I’ve tried on a friend’s machine, so I’m not sure of its stability under OS X.) Lightwave just seems like a poor port.
