It would be nice to have more customization options. The default black is fine for me, but having background images like in Windows 8 would be nice. Sure, almost 90% of the background image will be blocked by the Live Tiles. But just for a sense of more elegancy and personality, they should totally add this option.

Nope.
We still have Blue, both Windows and Windows Phone. We also have the next Xbox. The tighter the integration, the more recognition it gets. The more recognition it gets, the sooner it takes off.

Besides, in a typical consumer’s view, Nokia makes dumbphones, and even the smartphones are dumb. If they migrate to Android, they won’t go anywhere. Samsung already took over. Don’t take risks.

Yea I think the back cover colors should just be black and white while the Surface logo at the back should be changeable.
