I’m from Europe. I’m a socialist. Making sure that all citizens have the requirements for a healthy start is indeed socialism, and is a good thing; what is a government for if not to assist citizens? It’s just that Americans appear to input the word “authoritarian dictatorship who will force me to do unspecified bad things” most of the time when they say it.
