You are obviously as uninformed now as you ever were.
No system where we can download new games straight to the system from day one
I can download games from day one on my PS3 right now. Why wouldn’t they do that for PS4?
we will still going to suffer with waiting while the console updates itself before playing a game
As a PlayStation Plus member my PS3 downloads firmware updates and game patches automatically – no need to wait when you want to play.
no smarter way to share our games
Smarter by who’s standards? I don’t want anyone else to have a digital copy of my game that could prevent me from playing it when I want to.
no cloud computing to enhance the capabilities of the PS4 when the time comes
Sony has already mentioned cloud computing can be done on the PS4. Gaikai IS cloud computing. Sony owns Gaikai and is investing heavily in the infrastructure. Gaikai technology could be used for everything from backwards compatibility to enhancing PS4 games.
The Vita integration has to be supported from the game developer. The Vita is not successful enough (yet?) that many developers will implement this. That is my speculation of course.
Actually, the streaming to Vita capability is built into the hardware of the PS4. It’s taken care of by a separate chip in the machine. All PS4 games that don’t require the PS4 camera will be playable on the Vita. It would certainly benefit the developers to put a minimal amount of effort into customizing the controls, but there will be a default mapping used if they don’t.
