Well that blows. My work line was due for an upgrade in July and I’ve been talking with the telecom dept about grabbing me one of these instead of the Optimus that they give everyone else. :(

What kind of sucks is that T-mobile seems to be the carrier that Verizon used to be in the early 2000s. I remember a friend got a Krazr like six months after it came out because Verizon did tons of stability testing an skinned all the software with this weird proprietary Verizon stuff that I guess was supposed to keep peoples’ UI unified across devices. But T-Mobile only takes all this extra time to make sure they get the 25 uninstallable bloatware apps in the ROM. Thank god ICS lets you disable system apps.

Ah, you’re correct. I’m qHD. The screen really is gorgeous. Every one S review gives it a minus for the display, but it’s great. It just doesn’t have that ever-important “720p” moniker. I think we should stop looking at displays based on specs or numbers and just compare them or rate them based on looks.
Maybe I’m wrong. All I know is that I’m incredibly happy with my qHD pentile display. The phone is fantastic and I don’t think this distracts from that at all. :)

I have an HTC One S, which is a pentile display. Unless you have your nose right up to the screen, it’s really not an issue. The display looks gorgeous and is what contributes to the thinness of the device as a whole. I’m a bit of a tech enthusiast, but for me, pentile complaints are generally not relevant to me.

I used to play this game a lot when I was a kid. In fact, I was just trying to remember the name of this game yesterday, so thank you!

I would go with the One S. Better camera and faster processor. I actually just got one on Saturday coming from the same phone (Vibrant). The only real negative is the lack of an SD card, which you do have with the Sensation. However, the One S is also an hspa + 42 device, so faster data speeds as well. The One S is also impossibly thin. I’d really say go with the One S.

Except for t-mobile. In the us, they give you a cheaper rate plan if you pay full price for the phone.
