Re: 1. I’d say it’s a pretty important feature that we take for granted since people like us don’t really use these phones as phones. But for regular folk, they look for that and see whether or not they have a good signal to make or receive calls (e.g. your parents, grandparents, etc.) The dots might be a bit confusing. I’m guessing these are read from left to right in terms of “signal strength”? I think it’s an interesting choice but not sure it’s the best way to display that information.

HP gave [webOS] a small stay of execution with a patch to keep its online services running and sold much of Palm to LG, which has yet to reveal exactly how it will implement webOS on televisions.

That makes me want to cry.
