They will die if they don’t start offering enterprise services to other platforms. Clearly, their hardware and OS aren’t turning things around. Although, the government will keep funding their research and development…and most likely bail them out.

If it were possible, MS should buy Vimeo and Hulu then offer a first-class platform for monetization for content creators that will beat the crap out of youtube. Never going to happen but oh well…lol.

Sorry, I didn’t read past the headlines but the Government of Canada will never agree to this and will stop the sale. RIM will either die or stay on as a Canadian-controlled company.

Xbox platform has access to the API. iOS has access to the API. WP doesn’t and for what reason? If it is to stifle the WP market then that is anti-trust.

So you agree that Google is being a dumbass for not allowing MS to give Google another way to monetize their service (YouTube) for almost zero capital cost?

The best solution is to just 100up every other service out there. Make your core products tighter and extremely good. Before you take on the world, you have to take care of your backyard first.

You call attack, they call it licensing. If it was like what you are saying, why not complain under duress? Guess not…cause they can’t!

Then why didn’t google who supposedly owns Motorola stop the ridiculous standards essential patents? Why did they keep on asserting billions of dollars when in fact the licensing cost is only chump change in reality?

I think it’s because they see that the entire Windows family is converging and that would seriously compromise Android. The idea and threat are both there, but the tech isn’t yet.

But I definitely agree with you there. You will only see significant “savings” if you have a lot of data to put on storage. Otherwise, it’s bleeding money. It’s somewhat improving nonetheless.
