Moto on the other hand asks for something ridiculous that it isn’t asking other “licensees,” which is what the complaint is and will probably gain traction.

Exactly. There was a case about someone designing a cooking pot and he patented it. The thing is, a larger company who makes similar products copied his design except that the handle was raised a fraction of an inch higher than the original design. He tried to sue but it’s a lost cause…

I think it’s because Nokia is forking money and resources for this. It’s got me thinking though, why aren’t Samsung and HTC doing this too? Clearly, with the recent trend, in which WP is gaining traction, they’d want to start jumping in while it still is relatively easy to do so…before Nokia takes over completely.

I don’t think it will take over the entire store per se. I think it will be like how it is right now with Nokia Collection. I’m thinking, they might have a more fleshed out version and wider offerings….like a store within a mall…and it might offer it to other non-Nokia handsets.

Or… people who love their devices just want it to make known that WP and the Lumia 900 are not as bad as tech sites make it out to be. It’s called freedom of speech. Titan 2 has a much better camera and much bigger screen but you don’t see this “weird” pattern on it as well.
