Thank you so much! So glad I checked back to see if I had any replies, I totally forgot about this until now. Excited for the new wallpaper! Thanks again!

You know, you have a fine point, though the difference isn’t a click. They are actually equivalent in clicks. It’s simply a drag of the mouse, or a quick move of the finger, which in many cases can actually be slower than a click. If you mean a tab though, then yes.
I guess it is more of a personal preference thing then. But I think at the very least, we should recognize the importance of search on the internet today and make it equal size to the url bar, and apple should render it with less obnoxious round corners on the iphone to make the button area larger.

No time to right a keynote fan fiction. Though that was awesome.
iRoll – bigger ipad that rolls into a tube and unrolls into your favorite newspaper, or becomes trace paper, or just a notepad that has plenty of room for scribbling, brainstorming, etc.
OSXI – not just a graphic refresh with iOS stolen elements, but a truly redesigned, modern take on computing that takes into account mobile computers better with scalable display settings for small laptops to dual-screens. Improved finder. Integrated Internet – Siri/google – refined graphics – rdio/spotify like alternative with iTunes, integrating your existing library with a $5 subscription for streaming only from any device. Updated iLife suite that actually works, cards, iPhoto, iMovie, etc. not the cheesy versions, but real stripped down, simplified pro software included in the package. Info on your desktop without needing geek tool. Etc etc etc. I could go on a long time.
Revit for Mac – I know apple has no control over this.
iOS 7/8 – I’m interested to see where this goes.
Magic pen – a stylus that doesn’t suck
iMessage 3.never – cross platform messaging, texting, etc.
A real iHome. Or myHome. Idk. Complete control over sounds, security, privacy, atmosphere and anything else through iPhone, ipad, Mac. Installed in the home of your choice.
This is harder than I thought it would be. Good question.

Both are true. Dense and still wasted space.

I need to try Lightroom. I’m a big fan of everything adobe (except the price tag).

Actually liked your original renders coloring best. Better contrast. But the font was better in the new ones. And little details.

I just love that you used paint. Really.
And I’m actually impressed it looks that good from paint.

I think this is good, but the curved corners on the edge of the app and buttons have to go too. Many apps already have dropped this and apple should too. That’s part of the digital flat aesthetic. I agree that subtle gradients are good. I wouldn’t be afraid of a little stronger contrast and color too. And some flat too. I’m sure Jony will have a consistent scheme that’s omnipresent. I’m interested to see it.

I switched to chrome for this single reason. There is no reason to not use the omnibar. Sure, I’ve occasionally searched for 192.168…… On google instead of accessing it directly to edit settings, etc, but other than that, it’s way nicer to have both. And just looks a million times better too. It makes everything faster and always takes you where you want to go. Please please please go omni on safari. It’s pathetic having two on the tiny iPhone screen.

My favorite is adobe bridge, but that works best with adobe products, and while it is free, I believe it only comes with an adobe licensed product (or trial).
Picasa is my go to free photo viewing app to sift through my photo collection on my computer.
One thing I’m seriously considering is subscribing to something like smugmug, because my photos have outgrown a reasonable size to store all on one SSD, yet I’d love to have access to them in many locations. Dropbox is a dark horse in this as well with their easy uploading and file organizing. (Though it would require them to be stored locally on all my computers, which I wouldn’t really want). Maybe there will be a solution for this in the future.
Outside of that, I’ve had limited success with other alternatives. Aperture is better than iPhoto, but also sees infrequent updates, and is cost prohibitive unless you are a big fan of its capabilities,
I’m excited to see others responses to this question!
Also, I agree, iPhoto SUX!!! :)

I really like that iPhone wallpaper. My favorite of the simple cube graphics since it aligns with the icon rows, but is different enough and visually interesting.
Would you mind linking me to where you found it?
