I think we’re going to see this theme more in the next couple of years, as the dust settles regarding this Android patent stuff. I think we’ll see that in most cases Android didn’t infringe, and in the few cases where it did it will be deemed a minor infringment. As a result, I think the legal attacks of Apple and especially Microsoft are going to lose clout. It’s just a shame that the industry and legal system have to go through the effort of sifting through all these shenanigans in the near term.

Another RTM Pro user waiting for the Android app to get the same update. I’d also love to see one that’s optimized for Android tablets.

This is a terrific column. It’s really making me think twice about the ways in which I’m constantly connected nowadays.
