I think Mozilla is targeting the markets that are using Symbian/Asha phones not smartphones so more of an advanced feature phone? Low end phones and maybe even support for non 3g markets with edge etc.
So buy a Nook install amazon kindle app and have access to both book stores? I hope one day for an eink reader that can easily do this, maybe sony could bring one out running both kindle and B&N apps. One wway to get around the different drms without stripping them and still be able to read them on an eink device.
sony said that the console wont require an always on connection. At no time did they say they would refuse the publisher to enable such a thing. If sony said no and microsoft said yes to the big publishers I think there would be a significant number of xbox exclusives as the publishers all seem to want it, at least the lawyers and board members do maybe not the people who create and love the games.
