I can tell hardly any difference in audio quality between usual iTunes AAC audio and the “Mastered For iTunes” stuff. Typically, I’m playing it back in my car, bluetoothed from my iPhone to my Pioneer (low end model) receiver and it does sound pretty good to me. However, when I plug in via USB to charge/listen, through the same receiver, it does sound a bit better. I don’t have good enough equipment or ears to discern the lossy audio from lossless.
