Well the rumor goes that they cannot mak a fully functional office in winRT/metro before windows 8 ships which soubds logical .. Why will office still be in win32 environment?

Yes I know it will be available on windows RT/woa but it was made in win32/native code. Together with the desktop IE those are the only two apps that will have access to native code on WinRT devices . Wouldn’t it have a been a better example if the made office it in WinRT ?

I’d like to know, how robust is the winRT environment compared to win32.. Do developers have access to the same kinda APIs ? If Microsoft themselves cannot port Office to WinRT in time how do they expect developers to do it ?

if Dell is recycling their old failed designs I bet most OEMs will do i too or thinking of it. Most leaks turn out to be real btw. The normal tablet looks oke (except the resolution) my problem is with the convertible.

Can’t Microsoft provide some sort of design specification and requirements for touch screen x86 laptops/ hybrids/tablets ? This is outright bastardization of windows 8 , I thought windows 8 is going to herald a new wave of great designed hardware … apparently its not.

Exactly what I thought .. do these companies even have any future strategy pr learn from the past? If you bring out a design and it fails don’t reintroduce it again

The recent “tailored” search in Google is getting more and more annoying , even though Google has better search results Bing has proven to be useful from time to time . Its only a matter if time before it catches up

There is a difference between reporting a judgement and reporting court porceeding.. you cannot make judgement sound harsher than it is or no matter how much you try but you can report proceedings in a way to make one side look good or bad. . As to whether they are Pro or against Microsoft/Google isn’t relvant in this case. They are reporting a judgement .

Well if they can argue out their case to a US court they can also prevent MS from enforcing this ruling in an “alien land” .. as you pointed out it seems unlikely .

Well i don’t think MS is denying that they are not infringing on Motorola’s patents.. the quesntion is how much Motorola is asking for it .

Microsoft won seperate cases in two differentin two different countries against Motorola.. what proof do you need that they are infringing on MS’s patents?

You know how much Apple made on selling apps in the whole of 2011 ? $3..billion and this doesnt include the 70 %that they have to developer.. The OEMS aren’t foolish . If android tablest are selling they wouldnt be fuklling over eachother to get windows RT on their tablets mind you OEMs pay MS for every android tablet sold.

Nope, Microsoft went to court to ensure Motorola cannot enfore that rulling.. Motorola has to do same if they want to .. its not automatic.
