Hell no! I’ll be taking advantage of the fact that it’s a projection by walking right THROUGH it.

Has anyone stated the obvious yet? If not, I’ll say it. These were obviously designed with frisky Planetary Resources employees in mind.

Hah. Honestly, I don’t know what I was smoking when I wrote that post. I think some of the earlier stuff in the thread had me thinking that all TV stuff was shot 60fps, which obviously isn’t the case.
Anyway I just watched the latest episode and at one point I was thinking to myself, this is so definitely 24fps.
As for the Blu-Ray issue I mentioned…. it was on a 120hz TV and I’m willing to bet motion interpolation was turned on.

I think part of the inaccessibility is that as someone just now starting out, you’re literally years behind the in-game powers that be and probably have no chance of ever catching up.

Ugh, I watched 3:10 to Yuma with motion interpolation and it just demolished the illusion for me. It was so fucking obvious I was looking at a film set.
I hope to god The Hobbit doesn’t look like that.

I’m assuming Game of Thrones is 60fps, right? I’m perfectly OK with the way GoT looks, so hopefully that means I won’t be bothered by the 48fps in The Hobbit.
I do remember years back one of the first times I saw a Blu-Ray, it felt really off at first. Like it was so obvious I was looking at a movie set.
I don’t think I’ve felt that since, so maybe the lighting in that particular movie was just bad. I can’t even remember what movie it was… some middling western flick.
