Hawaiian vocab lesson for the day: Makani is wind in Hawaiian.
Anyway, wish there were more details on how the technology worked. Though it may be part of the video that’s being blocked by my office.

From the iconography and what we know about the console so far, I don’t think it’s a bad guess to say multitasking and some sort of options menu/list.

I just wish they picked a letter that didn’t also have a mathematical function associated with it i.e. multiplication. We should probably just never teach kids “x” means “times” and just teach them parentheses.

Exactly, the harping isn’t passe the argument is just poor. Doodle likely come out of a marketing type budget that has little impact on their products. Plus, the ROI on Doodle are a lot better than the ROI on Reader was. Doodles drive good will and more importantly traffic at a lower cost than Reader would have.

Well that statement is really true anywhere. I can say anything I want, anywhere I damn well please but they’ll be certain consequences depending on where I say it.

I love the content of the site but there’s a ton of design/UI stuff that I dislike.

Man people never click the source link. I’ll give you that the article is a little vague though. What it does is logs your activity on a site/app that integrates with G+ sign in, then aggregates that data for all its users, and finally displays what items on a site/app has the most activity when you search for that app/site. So for instance, if a ton of people sign in with G+ to Fandango to watch the Iron Man 3 trailer, when I search for Fandango, a sidebar will be displayed that says Iron Man 3 is “trending” and popular with xxxxx number of people. This doesn’t seem to require a user to +1 or do anything other than interact with the app/site.

I hated this episode, the animation just was off and the story was pretty lame. Cool to try new things but it didn’t work at all.

Because I couldn’t google “spy cameras” right now and find even less conspicuous and foreseeably cheaper cameras to covertly record people. Hell I’m sure I could find some that will pair to my phone and record to it. At least with Glass it will be recognizable and manageable.
I understand the concerns but pretty much all technology can be used for either good or evil purposes. Should we hold technology back just because people are so afraid of the negatives that they can’t see the positives?
