No one can kill this product. Consumers will decide if this is the next big thing or just a dud product, or a modest success… It has to be useful for consumers to part with their hard-earned. If it’s just a cool gadget, a lot of them won’t bother. Especially if it’s US $1,500. There are some practical problems with the product as in many employees won’t accept workers wearing them at work. As, as somebody who wears glasses and needs bifocal lenses, that’s going to even more pairs of glasses to juggle for different situations. So, my attitude is “Meh, forget it”. They’re obviously not considering the needs of a person my age.
