This report can also suggest that HTC and Nokia have more fanboys/girls than the competition as fanboys/girls can be highly content with their purchase as well thus effecting the relevance of your assertion.

So true. I think the appropriate term should be design tradeoffs. Every designer understands there is no perfect material that satisfies everything. As such it is up to the designer to choose what aspect is most important to consumers and the business.

Although I do agree that Samsung is pushing its brand over android, I do disagree with the evil corporations taking over and Google losing control. Google barely had control to start with since androids inception. This is more the fault or weakness of adopting an open system; anyone can whatever they want with it. If Google truly wished to have more control they would have adopted a window phone strategy. Now, let’s be real, all companies want to make money. I mean how can we call them evil when the purpose of a successful company is to make money?

Conclusion of the s4 from every review I’ve read/seen: lack of consistency. Everything about this phone is either useful, gimmicky or “meh”. It definitely doesn’t leave anyone indifferent.

Honestly, I think it is overblown. With that said they reason why the internet is blowing this is up is because many are disappointed. When a small company like HTC decides to go all metal, it is but normal for one ask themselves why can’t Samsung do it too. As such, many may also feel as if they are being cheated by Samsung.

Maybe more compared to nexus devices, but with s3 they delivered before other OEMs despite having more software additions
