HTC very successfully produced many OEM branded devices before HTC became a brand.
This Facebook phone might be struggling, but the HTC One is doing pretty well.

They haven’t asked EE and Orange. They’ve asked EE, as Orange (and T-Mobile UK) are simply the legacy branding for 3G and below connections, and 4G onwards its just EE.

Broadcast antenna is exactly how this service works though. They’d need a decent OTA service to operate.
If you can’t get a good OTA aerial picture, Aereo won’t help.

I’ll support the projects I want to see. I have no interest in funding a woman like Amanda Palmer, who decides to try and get her fans to be her band and pay them in beer instead of using the million+ she raised to pay actual professionals.
Nor do I have an interest in funding Veronica Mars and allowing WB to use Kickstarter as a crowd funded opinion poll.
Zach Braff’s feature? I think that’s different. He doesn’t appear to be screwing anyone for “art”, or using it as a presages system.

Well in your example of Watch Dogs, Ubisoft claimed the demo we saw at E3 was running on PC.
In the UK at least, and therefore I assume the EU, they’re required to label trailers (as apposed to demos at trade shows) with the platform they’re running on, or if its not in-game footage.
I think you have a point, but its a question we could’ve raised during any generation too.
Also add in the fact that many games when released on PC as well as the consoles are cheaper than their PC counterparts, but are (potentially) vastly superior graphically. Look at Battlefield 3. It looked a mess on the 360 and PS3 compared to the PC version, but it cost less.

Oh yes. Totally.
Developing for each machine should be relatively easy. Ports should take very little time compared. It’ll be interesting what console becomes the lead development device this time round!

“Designed the original SimCity and co founded the studio Maxis before moving on to other projects”
Which makes it sound like he got out as soon as possible because of the evils of EA. Except he didn’t. Did he?
He sold Maxis in 1997, also created The SIMS and didn’t leave till 2009 after doing his best Molyneux impression by over promising and under delivering with Spore, which fell on its arse miserably.
His company/think tank he now runs, Stupid Fun Club is a partnership with him and EA too.
It’s all well and good exonerating him from the disaster of a launch SimCity was, but the article makes it sound like he bolted ASAP.

Because they were released within a week, but due to a delay for Kick-Ass 2 they’ve swapped the release windows.
And seeing as most Pixar movies are released on DVD in the US before released in the cinema in the UK, you can just suck this one up I’m afraid ;0)

They won’t have the same graphics. Any existing generation games will be scaled down, have effects removed, lower resolutions etc.
Take a look at Battlefield 3 on the Xbox 360 then compare it to a high end PC running it. That’s the effective difference you’ll see.
The first generation of games may well be held back for a while, but then again the 360 and PS3 didn’t hit their stride graphically till a couple of years in. A lot of first gen 360 titles didn’t look that much better than the original Xbox games!
